Sera biomarker ranges

A transparent catalogue of the 223 biomarkers Sera supports across 12 health areas, 26 of them auto-calculated from other results rather than entered from a report. Current Sera practitioner targets, with evidence classification and source mapping actively being expanded.

Methodology

Sera ranges are practitioner targets used to support structured blood-work review. They are informed by conventional laboratory reference intervals, published clinical guidance, functional and longevity literature, and feedback from early functional and integrative practitioners.

Evidence strength varies by biomarker. Some values reflect established clinical thresholds or published reference intervals; others are narrower practitioner targets or exploratory ranges. Sera targets should not be treated as universal laboratory reference intervals or as diagnostic thresholds.

Sera does not diagnose, prescribe, or replace professional clinical judgement. Practitioners should interpret results alongside the patient's history, symptoms, examination, laboratory-specific intervals, assay method, and relevant clinical context.

Sera is being developed with feedback from early functional and integrative practitioners. A formal practitioner advisory board is planned.

How Sera reads a result

Optimal
The value falls within Sera's narrower practitioner target.
Sufficient
Outside the Optimal band but within Sera's broader acceptable band.
Out of range
Outside Sera's configured bands. This does not on its own establish disease.
